Overview

Vasundhara Tewari Broota, a graduate in Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University (1976), pursued art classes at Triveni Kala Sangam (1982-1984) and studied under Rameshwar Broota through a National Cultural Scholarship. Since 1979, she has participated in major exhibitions by the Lalit Kala Akademi, All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS), and Sahitya Kala Parishad.

Vasundhara has received numerous accolades, including the Sanskriti Award, a Silver Medal at the International Biennale of Plastic Arts in Algiers (1987), and several awards at Chandigarh Museum, AIFACS, and Sahitya Kala Parishad exhibitions. She was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 and by the VAMA Exhibition in 2017.

Her solo exhibitions have been held at venues such as Shridharani Gallery, Pundole Gallery, and Vadehra Art Gallery. She has participated in group shows worldwide, including in Tokyo, Havana, Bhopal, Russia, Poland, Singapore, and Jerusalem. Notable recent group shows include Reflecting the Self at Gallery Threshold and Bringing Spaces to Life with Art Pilgrim in 2022. In 1992, she co-directed the video film Shabash Bete, screened in Germany.

Her works are part of many prestigious collections, including the National Gallery of Modern Art, Jehangir Nicholas Collection, and Bharat Bhavan.
