Overview
Maitra's artistic exploration delves into profound themes of identity, belonging, loss, and memory, intricately capturing the essence of time's passage. She completed her PGD in Film and TV Production at St. Xavier’s Institute of Communication, Mumbai, India, followed by a BA from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK, in 2005. This journey culminated in a solo exhibition titled "Metamorphosis" at Zenzi, Mumbai, in 2006, and group exhibitions, including "Growing Like a Tree" at Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts & Ishaara Art Foundation, Goa, and "Ongoing Screen Installation" at the 2nd floor of the Saatchi Gallery, London, in 2016.
Currently based in Goa, India.
