Overview

Arunkumar H.G completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Fine Arts (Sculpture) at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 1993 and 1995. In 2014, he established the Centre for Knowledge and Environment in Karnataka, India. His solo shows include "Overshoot" at Gallery Sumukha Bengaluru (2023), "Con-struction" at Gallery Espace New Delhi (2018), "Seed of Reckoning" at Mumbai Art Room (2012), "Tract" at Nature Morte, New Delhi (2010), and "Feed" at Nature Morte, New Delhi and Sakshi Gallery Mumbai (2006). Notable group exhibitions include "New Natures: A Terrible Beauty is Born" at MMB Mumbai (2022), Kochi Muziris Biennale (2018), "Embrace Our Rivers" at Goethe-Institut Chennai (2018), Sculpture Biennial Aarhus Denmark (2015), "The Eye and The Mind" in China (2015), "Beyond Limits" at San Diego Art Institute (2014), "Zones of Contact" at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Noida (2013), "Cosmopolitan Stranger" at Hasselt, Belgium (2012), and "The new vanguard" at Saffron Art & Guild Gallery, New York (2009). He has participated in numerous residencies, including Art Omi International Artist Residency, New York (2011), University of South Australia, Adelaide (2007 & 2002), and CHROMA, Public Art Project, Bergen, Norway (2003).

Currently lives and works in New Delhi.
