Overview

Ahalya Rajendran's work often focuses on capturing gestures not naturally present in the body, incorporating elements of narration from her grandparents' stories intertwined with her surroundings. She earned her MVA in painting from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and was honored with the Nasreen Mohamedi Scholarship Award from MSU Fine Arts, Baroda in 2019. Rajendran has exhibited widely, including at NUGA Art House, London; Delhi Contemporary Art Week at Latitude 28, Bikaner House, New Delhi in 2022; and Kochi Biennale Foundation's Lokame Tharavadu in 2021.

Currently based in Baroda, India.
